Below is a small sampling of digital work from my freelance and in-house roles.

Series & Franchises

mbg Moves

Noticing readers’ interest in more at-home workouts in 2020, I lead the launch of a new fitness franchise for mindbodygreen called mbg Moves. Every month features a different trainer we admire. We release a new workout video, article, and social post each week.

Invisible Illness Series

Timed to Mental Health Awareness month in May 2021, I launched a personal essay series at mindbodygreen that gives individuals with invisible illnesses a platform to share their experiences. My goal is to shed light on these conditions and offer solidarity to others people dealing with similar challenges.

WH Workouts

In my time as a fitness editor at Women’s Health, I led our digital fitness relaunch. This featured a new photo/video set, better user experience, and a wide array of top-notch trainers. The end result was a new collection of workout videos, articles, and social media content (still integral to WH).

Holiday Gift Guides: Food & Movement

I managed the food and movement sections of the mbg gift guides in 2020 & 2021, including selecting products and writing.

Women’s Health Fitness Awards 2019

For the 2019 fitness awards, I sourced recommendations from over 50 industry experts—trainers, athletes, and editors—to curate the best workout clothing and accessories.

Sneaker Awards 2020

For the 2020 sneaker awards, I sourced recommendations from over industry experts, and tested hundreds of sneakers, to curate a list of standouts.

Sisterhood Of The Traveling Workout Pants

After admiring Beyond Yoga leggings for some time, Women’s Health asked women sizes XS to 3X to test them out and share their thoughts! I helped ideate this story, source talent, produce the shoot, and write the story.

Women’s Health Food Weeks

As part of my food editor role, I helped organize a week of themed content, created a sellable package, plus organized photo shoots for custom graphics and multi-media visuals. Notable themed food weeks include: Breakfast Week & Healthy Snacks Week. One notable story from snack week: Mix-And-Match Protein Cookies.

Women’s Health Activewear Week

In addition to a number of food-centric themed weeks, I also helped facilitate fitness-themed weeks, such as our yearly Activewear Week. This included a mix of clothing and accessory roundups, trend reports, and personal essays. The story above on sisterhood leggings was part of the lineup in 2019.

Women’s Health Fitness Challenges

I facilitated a number of popular fitness challenges at Women’s Health, featuring notable trainers and instructors. The most recent examples include The 30-Day Pushup Challenge and Burpee Challenge. Many challenges were featured across multiple platforms—print, digital, social media—and even had a dedicated group on Facebook.
